BUSINESS LAW
Course Description
While in high school and upon graduation, students are affected by “business law” on a daily basis.
Can a minor legally enter into a contract with another party? Can an individual be held responsible for a pledge made to a charitable institution? If an individual is given an estimate of $150 to have the car repaired and when he/she picks up the car has a bill of $325, is the individual liable for payment? What are your responsibilities as a tenant when renting a place to live? These are just a few of the topics covered in one semester of Business Law. This course offers an opportunity to travel to the Bremer County Courthouse and observe a criminal or civil court case. This course is recommended for all students and particularly those continuing their education in the field of business-accounting, marketing, management, merchandising, etc. |
